Bupati Buleleng periode 1988-1993 dengan inisiatifnya berhasil membangun satu tempat suci bagi umat Hindu di Buleleng. Tempat suci itu ialah Pura Agung Jagatnatha yang berletak di pusat Kota Singaraja. Pura ini dibangun pada tahun 1990. Selain Pura Agung Jagatnatha, Beliau juga menjadi pelopor yang mengartikan nama Pantai Lovina sebagai LOVE dan INA yang dapat diartikan Cinta Indonesia.
